I’ve always been a girl of many colors, both literally and figuratively. Whether it’s from the clothes I wear or the types of food I eat, I have always been one to explore my boundaries. But, for some reason, when it comes to lipstick I just never really took to trying tons of different colors. There’s a good chance it’s because my mom always told me that bright colors on my naturally fuller lips would look a bit..well.. loud. While this is true, I think that as anyone gets older it’s important to question all the boundaries you’ve set for yourself– including colors ones! You never know what you may find out about yourself.
Fun and Flirty: The Orange/Red Lip
I love to wear a bright lipstick when i’m feeling a bit daring. Bold lips are especially fun in the summer when bright colors are all around you. However, don’t be afraid to rock these vibrant hues when winter is feeling a bit too drab or on a first date!
Bright and Bold: The Purple Lip
I’ve seen a lot of girls beginning to break outside the normal range of lip colors and I LOVE it. Purple, in particular, is being used change up the way we use lip color to express ourselves. Although blues, greens, and even whites are growing in popularity, I’ve grown a slight obsession with these electric purples! I like wearing this color on a night out with my girls to change it up a bit.
Fall and Flirty: The Berry Lip
The berry collection of rich reds and browns have become my staple color for fall. I have yet to find a fall color that doesn’t look absolutely gorgeous with this lip color. Personally, I love pairing this lip with mustard yellow, rich greens, and neutrals.
Rich and Mysterious: The Dark Lip
This one is completely brand new to me. Before this year, I never really felt compelled to try a color so deep but boy am I glad that I did! This color gives me just the right amount of depth and richness to make me feel dangerous and mysterious– both of which I am not. This color is perfect for warm creams, grays and black!
