As I’m sitting in my bed stressed from dental school, I can’t help but think back on all the adventures and memories made a couple of weeks ago with Aaron, Kish, and Cody in Switzerland. From trekking up Mt. Titlis in Engelberg, brunching in Lucerne, kayaking and night sledding in Interlaken, to finishing with endless plates of pasta and laughs in Zurich – that trip was one for the books!
In terms of the weather, I definitely thought I was overpacking when my suitcase was overflowing with thick knits and scarves. But after the first few days being in the 20’s, I’m glad I decided to bring them. Luckily when we traveled to Interlaken and Zurich, the sun came out and we got to enjoy weather in the 50’s. But whether it was a really chilly night or a sun kissed afternoon, I can honestly say Switzerland was gorgeous in every aspect.
On our last day in Zurich, Aaron and I had brunch at Milch Bar – a cafe that was recommended multiple times due for it’s delicious food and location. Nestled right in the middle of the Bahnhofstrasse, a street known for being studded with high end luxury brands, the Milch Bar was the perfect place to enjoy a perfectly frothed macchiato and people watch (one of Aaron and I’s favorite thing to do! lol). Everyone that walked in was pleasantly in a great mood and decked out in some of the newest fashion trends. I had heard that people in Zurich dressed nicely, but this brunch really reaffirmed that for me! Every corner was a flash of gorgeous fashion. To my left a beautiful, tall woman dressed in chic all black with a pop of color from her blush Valentino Garavi Rockstud bag. To my right a young, effortless University student rocking a gray mini Chloe Faye mini suede backpack chatting with her friends. I was surrounded by perfectly dressed women that each looked like the script of The Devil Wears Prada was written for.
*SWOOOOON*
In terms of outfit – y’all, can we all admit that we were a little confuse when the baker boy hat trend started taking off? For a few weeks, I was so confused about how to style it, much less if I even liked it. But the more it kept showing up on other bloggers and celebrities, the more I opened up to the idea! Now? I’m obsessed and, of course, have it in three colors. But this is by far my favorite one! I have a wider head, so I wanted to make sure this hat fully seated (the one I tried from Express was a bit too small). This Asos hat was the perfect shape, color, and texture for Switzerland. I knew when I was packing for the blog post that it was going to revolve around this hat! My Vici Collection sweater with the chunky bare back and tie was so cute, but in retrospect, I would recommend wearing this when the weather is a little more moderate! Aaron kept laughing at me because I was shivering during this shoot, yikes!
Well alas, I’m back in San Antonio daydreaming about the perfect morning, with the perfect person enjoying some of the best fashion Switzerland had to offer. But, its not all bad! Third year of dental school is coming to an end! It’s been a bit stressful sending off all my final to lab, getting my patients all accounted for, and finishing all my rotations, but at the end of the day – it’s been an awesome year. *Fingers crossed* and I’ll be going into my last year of dental school!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
