As much as I would LOVE for it to feel like Fall, I have accepted that leaves don’t start changing colors in San Antonio until late October. So while everyone else is bringing out their infinity scarves and Hunter boots, i’m still stuck in denim shorts and tanks. Don’t get me wrong, there are major perks of an extended summer, like longer days, bbq’s, and raspas, but despite those delicious noms, i’m itching to ring in the fall.
I picked this outfit because even the slightest hint of plaid reminds me of the seasons changing. My J Lacel plaid flannel is definitely thicker in material and great for the winter but since it’s still hot out, I used it as a the perfect accessory for my playful summer outfit. I decided to go with a bodysuit for my high-waisted, suede skirt for a seamless, fitted look. I’ve been seeing suede button down skirts EVERYWHERE and while I admit I wasn’t the biggest fan at first, I will say I love this one! Since it’s faux suede, it’s not too hot for the Summer and when Winter does come around, I think this skirt will be perfect with tights and a cream knit sweater. My white Chuck Taylor’s were just any easy decision since Aaron came to visit for the weekend and we were planning on wandering around Southtown all day. They were so comfortable and made exploring new shops and restaurants a breeze!
