Maxi in Madrid

Mar 21, 2017 · by Kara Tapangan

Maxi: Nordstrom Rack || Heels: Sam Edelman || Earrings: Baublebar for Target

It hasn’t even been a full 72 hours and I can genuinely say I will forever love Madrid.

I knew when we decided to visit Spain that I would be in awe of the art, history, and architecture but trust me when I say, it’s so much more than I will ever be able to verbalize. Every corner is filled with so much color and vibrance, it’s hard not to be inspired.

Our first days have been busy. Since we stayed in the La Latina neighborhood, we explored the Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, and ate enough churros to last a lifetime. The sunny weather and slight breeze explained why filled tables of families and friends studded each street. Shareable plates of tapas and affordable glasses of wine make the days long and the conversations intentionally intimate – truly making me question why anyone would want to leave.

As we depart Madrid for Barcelona today by train, I can’t help but know I need to come back.

As for these outfit details, when I saw this Bobeau maxi at Nordstrom Rack last week, it screamed SPAIN to me! I could imagine the movement of the light fabric as I weaved in and out of markets and bars and knew I had to snag it for this trip. While I couldn’t find it online, I tagged a few below that I love. My Sam Edelman Yardley lace up heels were perfect for walking on the characteristic pebbly roads of Europe and have honestly been a staple go to for me this Spring. Paired with my new Baublebar earrings I grabbed from Target, this outfit was comfortable, affordable,  and so flattering!

I just wanted to check in and share a couple of trip and outfit details with everyone! For the rest of my trip, you can find me wandering around castles and stuffing my face with every possible churro within a 5 mile radius!

Thanks for stopping by!
