Acrylic Organizers: Boxy Girl || Shelves: Ikea (DIY) || Glass Apothecary Jars: Home Goods
Am I the only person who can’t keep her makeup organized?!
I feel like I’m always playing catch up and putting away brushes and skin products every Sunday and when Monday rolls around, it’s like it never happened! It’s probably during the frenzy of getting ready for school and trying to snag a couple extra minutes in bed that causes every piece of makeup I touch to end up in a new spot than where I found it. After trying TOOOONS of ways to organize my makeup, I finally came up with a solution!
I’m the type of person that needs to see all my makeup or I won’t use it. It might be because I’m usually thinking about what I’m doing that day or trying to remember if I closed the garage door (oops!), but I never think to dig for a lip stain I bought 2 months ago. So it’s quite simple, really: if I can’t see it, I won’t use it.
In walks Boxy Girl to my rescue with these stunning acrylic, lucite makeup and jewelry organizers! I’ve bought tons of similar acrylic organizers in the past from off-price department stores, but once I finally got my hands on these, I decided I’d never go back! These Boxy Girl containers are sturdy, scratch-resistance, and perfectly made to showcase any makeup or jewelry collection. I ended up getting:
- Original Four Stack with Lid (50% off!)
- Jewelry Triple Stack without Lid (SALE!)
- Half Palette Stack (SALE!)
- Half Lip Stack (SALE!)
They’re the perfect solution for me. I can see all my makeup, put them where they belong, and I can even tell if something’s missing! The Jewelry Stack is one of my favorites since it has alternating hooks to hang those pesky necklaces that love to get themselves tangled. Now I’m never stressed to accessorize my outfits! The compartments inside the space stackable shelves can be rearranged so it’s customized for you! Also, I’m such a sucker for packaging and Boxy Girl definitely delivered!
To organize and store my brushes, I thought it would be so cute to place them in glass apothecary jars I snagged from T.J. Maxx. I filled them ~ 1/4 way up with clear pebbles I found in a floral shop and they worked perfectly! If you can’t find them, any regular beads can work just fine! A lot of my brushes are extra brushes that I don’t use everyday, so I love that there’s a cover to keep them from getting dusty or deformed.
Trust me, if you’re not sure what to get a loved one for the holidays, definitely consider these organizers. They’re the gift I never knew I needed!
