How to Throw the Perfect Galentine’s!

Feb 14, 2017 · by Kara Tapangan

There are very few things that can get a couple of girls together faster than a good sale and thats:

1. Pizza

2. Champagne

3. Pajamas

Luckily my perfect Galentine’s has all three!

This last weekend, Aaron was in Houston for his fellowship so I decided it was time for a much needed girls night. On a budget and time crunch, I decided to throw the perfect Galentine’s for some of my friends from Dental School! What started out as a small get together, quickly became a whirlwind of feathers, champagne, and heart-shaped pizzas!

I grabbed a couple of affordable party favors from Homegoods, Target, and Marshall’s and rounded up all things pink that I already owned. Napkins, themed straws, and tassels added so much fun and were only a few bucks a piece! Also, since Valentine’s was coming up, almost everything was 50% off! A couple of feather boas, sunglasses, and a “girl boss” playlist, and we were a hit!

Oh and that heart-shaped pizza? Only $9.99 from Pizza Hut! Make sure you ask for the Valentine’s Day Special. Trust me, any girl will LOVE it! I also put out some fresh berries, dark chocolates, and some freshly made brownies to snack on while we shared our favorite stories!

I’d been wanting to do a photoshoot in my house for a while but I never really knew how to do it. So I was thrilled when Laura of LauraLilyPhoto contacted me about a collaboration. Instantly after browsing her portfolio, I knew that I HAD to work with her. Laura was amazing about working with my ideas and even adding her touch of fun to the photos. Each one of us felt so comfortable and were giggling our heads off by the time we finished the shoot. If you’re looking for a lifestyle/portrait photographer, LAURA IS YOUR GIRL!
