I wanted to take a break from the traveling posts to appreciate the beautiful weather here in Texas. Summer is beating down and I can’t help but love the heat. Every year as summertime approaches, every Texan rushes to bring out fresh squeezed lemonade and heads to the beach to enjoy friends and family.
So what better way to cruise around South Texas than in a light, chiffon romper and cowboy boots? This romper is from a boutique in Austin, TX called The Dainty Hooligan and it’s perfect for the summer heat. The delicate ruffles on the skirt of this romper gives it so much body and is truly great for all body types.
To compliment the beautiful rich colors of the flowers on this romper, I decided to throw on a bright red/orange lip color. I also decided to wear a thick bangle that, i think, resembles a small haystack and a dainty Kendra Scott necklace I received as a congratulation for getting into dental school from my sweet college roommate, Melissa. (It kinda looks like a tooth, so cute!)
I love these boots and think they’re a cute alternative to the traditional cowboy boot. I got this pair from Barney’s Co Op. They’re a rich brown distressed leather and beaded with tons of little tarnished gold stud accents all along the tops. These boots also have a slightly higher heel so they’re very complimentary to dresses or rompers.
Thanks for stopping by, y’all!
